Next VE Sessions:

VE Session will be Friday the 11th of May 2012 at 6:30 P.M., 21Ø1 Ridge Road, Bakersfield, CA 933Ø5. Cost of the test is $15 and bring a valid photo ID.

May 12th at 11am @ the Kern County Library, 7054 Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella, CA 93420 a VE session will be held. Cost is $4. Questions call Mike Higgins (760)378-1028.

May Meetings

The Board Meeting will be at 2101 Ridge Rd. Bakersfield, CA 93305 on the 16th of May 2Ø12 at 7pm. Will be a good time.

Club meeting will be the 24th of May at 7pm. It will be held at the East Hills Veterans Hall, 2101 Ridge Road Bakersfield, CA 93305. Meetings are in the large room in the NW part of the building. Presentation TBD.

Club scheduled net:

Club nets are held every Sunday evening at 2000 local time on the two W6LIE repeaters of 146.910-pl 100 and 145.150-pl 100.

ARES net:

ARES nets are held every Monday evening at 1900 local time on the two W6LIE repeaters of 146.910-pl 100 and 145.150-pl 100.

"The Oh Dark Thirty Net"

New "Official" morning net! Starts around 5:3Øam on the 146.91Ø - pl 1ØØ Monday through Friday.

All are welcome to come and enjoy the morning net on your way to work!

Kern County Emergency Communications

We are currently in the works of collecting new ideas and input from all the area radio clubs and amateur radio operators in our area. The objective is to develop a working logistical Em-Comm plan that everyone in the area can assist with developing to suit our needs as a community. Plans are currently under way in the developing stages of getting interested folks together to swap ideas.
